Sometimes you might find that an item has sold out, or simply been removed from your menu entirely. In this case, it's simple to pause an individual item with a few clicks by following these instructions.
First, navigate to the Menu page in your Restaurant Control Panel:
Then locate the item in the correct menu tab and category, then click on it. This will bring you to the item control panel:
Look for the Pause/Resume button (highlighted above) and click it once. You'll see this dropdown menu:
Choose the option that closest matches the conditions you want, then click on it. A sidebar will appear on the right with further options:
You can choose from 4 options:
- Pause the item for service today, then automatically resume before business opens the next day
- Pause the item for service until the beginning of the next week
- Pause the item for a specific period of time, then automatically resume
- Pause the item permanently until manually resumed
Just click the red button to complete the process, or click Close if you don't want to pause the item.
Once paused, the indicator by the item name will turn red:
To resume, click back into the item and choose the Pause/Resume button again, this time, choose the correct resume option:
The icon next to the item will turn green again and the item will be live to your customers.
